Optimise my media and therefore your ranking

  • Videos and images are the elements visitors watch the most. Therefore, use good quality media, yet a 72dpi version (screen resolution) is sufficient for the web. Resize your images to the required format (you can do it with Paint) to optimise the loading time of your pages and the weight of your back-office.

Tip: download the Smushit plugin which will enable you to optimise the weight of your files and thus speed up page loading time.

Reminder: web page loading times now influence their ranking in search engines. The quicker a page displays, the higher up in Google queries it will appear.

  • If a photo is available on the Internet, this does not mean you can use it, especially for commercial purposes.

Warning: The use of any photos always requires respecting the photographer’s rights, and the image rights of the people and goods photographed.

We therefore advise you to use stock photos, as the conditions of use for these images are clearly defined. To do so, there are copyright-free photo libraries such as Unsplash or Pexels. Make sure you read the conditions of use carefully according to your need.

  • Give a relevant title to your image, a description containing the keywords, and an alternate text content to make your website accessible to visually impaired people.
